My country Libya
Libya has the 10th-largest oil reserves of
any country in the world and three times the size of Texas Stat
Tripoli is the capital and the largest city
of Libya. As of 2011, the Tripoli metropolitan area (district area) had a
population of 2.2 million people of Libya's 6.5 million people . The city is
located in the northwestern part of Libya on the Mediterranean sea.
It has the country's biggest zoo, the
weather is hot and dry in summer and wet and dry in winter, average July
temperatures are between 22 °C (72 °F) and 33 °C (91 °F). In December,
temperatures have reached as low as −5 °C (23 °F),
Food in Libya is one of the most important
activities of any Libyan family. The Libyans always say: one must eat well.
Olive oil is the main ingredient of nearly any dish or meal in Libya, and it is
almost impossible to cook or prepare any Libyan food without it, the main dishes are Bazin, and Couscous.
Libya was ruled by a dictatorship
government ( Gadafi ) for 42 years. But
after 8 months of war Libyan people got their freedom again in Oct., 2011.
What I like more about Libya,
is that so close by plane to Europe, from Tripoli is: half an hour to Malta,
one hour to Italy, two and half hours to
Germany.
I hope you will like these photos and
consider visiting Libya one day.

I didn't know Libya could get so cold in the winter! The pictures of the food look really delicious, and the historical areas look interesting as well. I hope that the country is able to recover quickly from the civil war last year.
